I played pool with some mates and played some music for them, and made some lunch, all and all not a bad place

Maribyrnong OSHC - They got a team of educators who genuinely care for the individual needs of their students. They always provide a welcoming vibe to all parents.

Owner's response

Hi Kristine! We are very glad you are having a fantastic experience with us!

They are so caring, absolutely great with my son, helping build his confidence and just making sure that he is connecting with all different aged children. Very happy with the educators and the care provided.

Great modern community facility, round the corner from Cooleman Court. It houses many of the behind-the-scenes staff in organisational support, as well as a friendly team of community transport drivers. It also runs a recreational program for seniors, where they enjoy lunches, games, activities, and excursions. Lastly, it also has an area for senior students at Galilee School, where passionate and dedicated teachers and staff provide a unique blend of educational and emotional support for disengaged youth to help them back on track for a positive future. Everyone is friendly and helpful. There's convenient free parking g, and is disability-friendly.

Owner's response

This is excellent! Thanks Eva.

I had no idea Communities at Work do so many amazing things in Canberra. I have found their staff and volunteers to be extremely friendly and helpful. The Galilee school campus and some corporate staff are located at Weston, but they also have a community pantry items in Tuggeranong and Gungahlin, plus child care centres, school holiday programs and so many other things. Communities at Work is a charity not a government agency, so if you want to support our local community I highly recommend them.

Fabulous organisation that does so much for the local community. Helping people in hardship with community food pantries, clothing, crisis support and transitional housing. Guiding young teenagers to complete their education at Galilee School when mainstream doesn't work for them. Supporting seniors and people with disability to live a fuller life. Training programs to develop passionate and skilled childcare educators . Caring, friendly staff who go out of their way to help.

Communities at Work opens pathways into helping society at various scales. They offer suggestions for careers and education. The offices are located in suburban areas of Canberra.

Owner's response

Thank you Linda!
