Shade Sail Centre may or may not be able to produce the highest quality custom-made products, I've got no idea. Because I didn't get further than a chat across the table with the 'designer'. It was an amicable chat; nice guy. I asked if my task was the sort of thing he would be happy to take on. "Yes". So having chosen the fabric and given him the technical details we agreed that he would give me an estimate/quote 'next week'. I confirmed the tech details by email and added that I was not looking around for the cheapest price; I wanted good communications and a supplier with close proximity to my home. Towards the end of the next week I sent him a reminder, 'How's the quote progressing?'. Reply: "Sorry, been away from work, you'll have it Monday". It didn't arrive Monday. Or Tuesday or Wednesday or Thursday. By which time it seems obvious even to a slow, trusting person like me that they are not going to supply and are not going to tell me that they are not going to supply. Job too small? Not enough profit? Family problems? No idea, but they could have told me rather than string me along for 2 weeks. Less-than-good-enough communications.
