I really struggle to find the words that really express what an amazing place that Dunlea is. The amazing staff at Dunlea are Angels. They are living examples that Jesus works through other people. He is working at Dunlea. Thank you for being a part of our lives and to helping change the path that our children's lives were taking. Dunlea has changed our whole family to become better and stronger. If anyone is 'Thinking' about Dunlea, don't think about it, do it you will never look back. Thank you, Dunlea,

Attending Dunlea centre primary School program has truly transformed our child’s life. From a child who once found it difficult to walk into school and complete schoolwork, he now eagerly runs into school each morning with a smile. The support are nurturing he has received in the primary program, not just from the teachers, but from the staff has completely changed attitude towards school and learning. Our son is now enthusiastic about learning and our family has become a happy once again.

As a psychologist working in the Sutherland Shire, I’ve had the privilege of seeing first hand the positive and lasting impact that Dunlea Centre has had on the lives of students and their families. Dunlea Centre provides an incredibly valuable residential, educational, and therapeutic program. The holistic approach offers young people a chance to restore relationships, re-engage with learning, and build essential life and social skills. Students who attend Dunlea often show significant improvements in school attendance, academic performance, and their ability to reconnect with family. There is also a noticeable boost in their overall well-being, self-confidence, and ability to manage day-to-day life. The program’s strong focus on structure, consistency, and therapeutic support creates a genuinely transformative experience for the young people involved. Dunlea Centre is an extremely important resource for young people and their families in our community. I cannot recommend it highly enough.

Do not send your children here. Vulnerable children are not kept safe. Reputation is more important than student wellbeing. Victims get made to feel like perpetrators to silence them.

My experience with Dunlea is through a close family friend whose daughter attended the centre. I became involved as I was trying to support them through a difficult time and so I was present during numerous interactions with staff and got to see first hand how kind, caring and professional they were. Dunlea provides an educational experience centred on individual needs and educating the "whole person". In an ideal world, this would be available to all students, and for the families that become part of this centre, their wholistic approach can be life-changing. As with any education, you get out what you put in; the staff there cannot do the hard work for you, but they will be there every step of the way to provide guidance, and support and to celebrate with you when you achieve your goals.

My son commenced at Dunlea Centre in 2018 as a year 8 student. Although a daunting and difficult decision, it has been the best decision and an absolutely life-changing experience not only for him but for our family unit. Dunlea Centre has brought out the best in him not only academically, but emotionally and socially. The support of all of the staff as a whole has allowed my son to reach his full potential and achieve his goals. Dunlea Centre goes above and beyond to ensure that each young person is supported and cared for with programs that are tailored to their individual needs. Their commitment and dedication to each and every student that attends is seccond to none. This has been paramount to his success and has provided him with the opportunity to become a respectable, independent, confident student and member of society. As a parent, I too have had many benefits of the program offered. I always feel that I am supported and heard. Communication is always open and the staff have exceeded my expectations and beyond to ensure that I am informed and involved in the planning and maintenance of my son's goals. This inclusion allows me to support my son in the best way possible and again allows for him to reach his full potential. I will be forever grateful to all of the staff at Dunlea Centre. Each and every one of them plays such an important role in the programs provided and ensures that their students are always well cared for, safe, and provided with the opportunity to reach their maximum potential. I am very proud to say that my son will be graduating later this year with his HSC. This is something that would not have been possible without Dunlea Centre! A great big thank you to all of the staff!

Worst thing I ever did was send my child to this place. He still has anxiety because of the bullying and the horrible experiences he endured there. If you care about your child, DO NOT send them to Dunlea!
