I did an enjoyable 5 day short course in prop making here. It was an excellent practical-based learning and the staff were knowledgeable, helpful, and dedicated a lot of one-on-one teaching.

Amazing place with a lot of history of Australian stage, film and television. The main theatre is well set up. Great airconditioning for one of the hottest days even when full!

The theatre was of a really good size, so seats are nicely spaced (not crammed like the ICE), and the ensemble was 20+ performers and had plenty of space to move. Acoustics and lighting were great. The play was fun, and the cast are really talented.

Wow! I never knew that there was so much fun involved in acting! I like how you can go out of your comfort zone and play a different character. It may unsettle you, but remember that a producer would never ask you to play a role that would put you in danger.

Creative play 2 yrs old review : Do not register ! I registered my 2 year old son last year for a term with high expectations due to the NIDA reputation. It was a completely failure! I attended 1 session in a very hot room without fan or aircon on a very hot day. There were no tables set up or chairs to sit on so we were instructed to sit on the floor in circle. We sang 2 standard kids songs (singing our name and old famous Mc Donald) Then we play a game to touch something we have never touched before, which was difficult because the room was completely empty of anything exciting. The educator was great however the equipment, furniture and overall environment were very poor for - especially for such a renowned institution! After 1 class, I contacted them explaining I would not be attending and future classes and asked for a refund which they then denied as it is hidden in their T&C’s. (I would say I’m not the first person to ask for a refund) Save your money, register your kid to literally any other class, this is the first class I have ever been disappointed with. (We do lots of classes with my son)

I did a short course with NIDA corporate highly recommended. Small group, and not a PowerPoint deck in sight. It was challenging, fun and useful.

I can't rave enough about how wonderful all the staff have been at NIDA. I have 3 boys enrolled in their courses. It has significantly improved their self-esteem and confidence and they have so much fun collaborating with the other students. I highly recommend it, it's the best money you'll spend on your child

We attended the Ettingshausen's "On Broadway" end of year concert at this venue last night and were very impressed with the theatre and the facilities. It's a spectacular building and enjoyed looking around he costume displays the foyer area, whilst sipping a glass of champagne from the bar. The theatre itself is impressive with comfortable seating and good, widespread views to the stage from most rows. We were fortunate to be mid centre, a few rows back from the front, so we had exceptional seating. There was ample parking, no issues there. All in all we had a great experience at this venue and look forward to returning to see another production here.
