I had the pleasure having Carolyn and Tony as teachers for Level 1 classes on Wednesday nights. Each lesson was a wonderful new learning experience where I could comfortably be myself and learn new skills as weeks progressed. Carolyn and Tony were patient, encouraging and open to the ideas the class threw at them. I will terribly miss seeing the class and teachers on a weekly basis, but it's even more incentive for me to sign up for L2! Highly highly highly recommend you sign up for those looking to challenge your fast thinking skills and confidence.

The first few weeks get you out of your comfort zone but once you get into scenes and start creating then it's hard not to get addicted. The experience is full of self discovery, improving your mindfulness and communication skills. There aren't many (if any) other times in the week when you spend a full 3 hours laughing out loud with a bunch of people that you barely know. It's fantastic! Massive shout out to my instructors Jeff and Susan, they made everyone feel so comfortable while challenging us to develop every week. They are amazing!

Signing up for LMA is one of the best decisions I've made. You'll go in not knowing what to expect and leave with a growth mindset. The coaches are highly experienced, inclusive and not afraid to challenge you. There lots of opportunities to perform and be a part of the community but they aren't pushy. It's about what you're comfortable with doing. It's a great social experience and you'll meet all walks of life. Take advantage of the early bird specials and its really affordable too!

If you looking to try something new and have fun I’d definitely recommend trying out an improv class at LMA. I took one of their free Saturday morning intro classes early last year and haven’t looked back. Since beginning my improv journey with LMA I have found the classes to be very enjoyable, and each of the end of term shows very exciting, challenging and rewarding. I have made many great friendships, I’ve found the teachers to be exceptional, in terms of delivering class content, making the classes fun and exciting and also being very supportive and encouraging. I have also found the LMA community to have a positive and supportive culture. I’d definitely recommend trying out their level 1 improv course, and if you’re not sure, go to one of their sampler Saturday morning intro classes.

The LMA level 1 course is engaging, sometimes challenging and alot of fun. The teachers are knowledgeable, supportive and incredibly encouraging. If you want to improve your active listening and stop queueing up the next question, boost you creativity and have a lot of laughs along the way, then challenge you fear and take an LMA improve class. Yes and....it really is slightly less scary than you think.

Thanks for the 5-Star review Phil - we couldn't have said it better! Hope to see you back for more in Level 2.

This is a place for any person to come to. Needing some fun? Needing some confidence? Want to meet new people? Check, check and check. It'll get ridiculous and confronting at times but the level of respect established between everyone in here means you can express yourself more openly then you may every feel comfortable doing in everyday life. This place reminded me what it feels like to laugh again, and then some... All within the first lesson. Just come with an open mind and this place will draw you in. That's a good thing.

I would recommend LMA to anyone and everyone!! After having heard of them from a friend I tried 1 free trail class and since then I've been hooked! I have recently graduated from level 1 and I can't get enough. Learning improv is a great experience, not only is it fun but it also leads to transferrable skills such as creative thinking, active listening, self confidence, etc. Lastly I would like to mention that the team at LMA are really great and supportive, which guarantees that you will learn and develop while having fun at the same time!

All of the LMA Teachers and Support Team work really hard to create and nurture that welcoming and supportive community you're now a proud part of - and reviews like yours absolutely make our day. We appreciate you taking the time to write it and look forward to seeing you next term in L2.

Laugh Masters is the best improvisation school I've ever been too. The classes are small so the teacher spends a lot of time with each student. All the students get very close and we end up like a family. LMA distinguishes itself by the small attentions (free classes raffles, feedback form from teachers, completion diplomas, outside school support, etc.) I highly recommend you sign up at LMA. IT WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE!
Owner's response
Thanks for the FIVE-STAR review Flavie. We work really hard at building more than just a school, we think of it more as building a community. A weird, wonderful and wacky community. Thank you for being a part of it.

I highly recommend LMA to anyone and everyone! These skills you learn go beyond a Improv comedy act that will serve you well in any career, social or relational pursuits. If you want to be successful, confident, funny, charismatic and life of the party yet, warm, understanding and supportive then LMA is the best way to do that! My teacher was brilliant who really cared about getting us comfortable and learning well as was the venue and material we covered as well. Good stuff!!!
Owner's response
Thanks for the FIVE-STAR review Alan. We're so glad you're a part of the LMA "family." It's been wonderful having you in class and watching you blossom as a performer. And we love that you pointed out that improv skills are good for more than just being funny, they really are life skills that will help anyone get further and get more out of life.

I moved to Sydney in Aug '15 and decided to try Improv for 3 reasons: 1 - To try something new and out of my comfort zone 2 - Improve my communication skills 3 - Meet new people and have fun LMA was able to help me on all these fronts. The classes are professional and well run and the shows are a lot of fun. There is a wide range of classes available suitable for total novices (like myself) to those with more experience. At the time of writing I've completed level 1 & 2 of Improv and plan on doing level 3.
Owner's response
Thanks for the FIVE-STAR review Geoff. We're so happy that your three desired outcomes were met - and that you've kept at it too. We look forward to seeing you in Level 3 in Term 3!
