I attended this high school for 3 years from 2021-2024 and I can confidently say that it is more supportive and positive than a majority of public and private christian schools. I noticed that the schools “Morale” or vibe gradually started shifting to a more negative atmosphere, which in my own personal opinion could have been fully or partially as a result of the newer administrations each year implementing stricter rules, expectations, values and punishments, very representative of how institutionalisation works. I leave this comment as constructive criticism as I believe as a former student I can give positive, beneficial input. I also do not suggest the removal of all rules, policies, values etc, but I believe in a balance of fair expectations that don’t push the limits of students (Some of which struggle immensely outside of school, which can make the new school environment become the last straw for their mental wellbeing and this can induce extreme stress, anxiety etc..). I understand that as an official government educational system and private Adventist school that there are certain values it wants to adhere to, but a picture perfect school is a picture perfect school and nothing else. Take away what you wish from this review but keep in mind the significance this information can have to improve this school’s future. I finish my review with this poem to hopefully give a better understanding of how students feel about school and what schools do wrong to our developing generations. “They caught the wild children and put them in zoos, They made them do sums and wear sensible shoes. They put them to bed at the wrong time of day, And made them sit still when they wanted to play. They scrubbed them with soap and they made them eat peas. They made them behave and say pardon and please. They took all their wisdom and wildness away. That’s why there are none in the forests today.”

We feel incredibly blessed that we landed in this beautiful small school that far exceeds our expectations on a daily basis with their kindness, care and focus on keeping our children safe, happy and well educated. We have found the Principals, Teachers and Staff to be easily accessible, approachable and incredibly efficient helping with any special needs and requests. Thank you GCCC for a wonderful school experience in 2024

This school may not be perfect at the moment, but I can see a bright future ahead with the new students stepping into leadership. If this school can bring an open mind and a will to act on our dreams, the future of this school will be fun and more diverse in learning.

My children attended this school since they were in kindergarten, but their experience was incredibly disappointing. After facing numerous challenges and feeling unsupported, I made the difficult decision to withdraw them last year.

This is the first Google review for the school this year (2024). My son attended this school from grade 4, and now in grade 9 he is leaving. Up until this year I would have given this school a 5 star review. The school has had 3 school Principals during the time he's been at this school. The school Principal in 2022 & 2023 I don't think any student, parent or any of the school staff would have one bad word to say about him. Such a down to earth, friendly and approachable man. Up until this year I can honestly say that it's been a beautiful environment and my son loved this school with all his heart. Sadly, this year there is a new school Principal. He is not interested in the students at all, or the parents. He is rude, not approachable at all and not a people person. The head of secondary that started at the school last year spends all her time looking for ways to discipline the students. This year there has been a major culture change at the school. No one smiles anymore, and everything is just serious. It use to be a happy school. My son has managed to escape from the school and get out, but I know that there are other students on wait lists to get out and go to other schools. By the way, if you write a not so nice review, the school will get one of the teachers kid's to write a good review to get the Google review rating back up.

This school over the last 4 years (mostly the last 2) has just exceeded any expectations we had of what a school environment could be for our children. It is the warmest, inviting and nurturing educational environment. The leadership team for the primary (where our three children are) is unbelievable! The principal is out the front at school drop off or pick up most days, he knows everyone by name and is so friendly and approachable! The head of primary is so proactive, especially with our eldest who can have some struggles with concentrating. If you want a caring small school community then this is without a doubt the school for you!

Having been a student at Gold Coast Christian College from 2007 to 2019, I can confidently say that my years at this school were truly enjoyable. The teachers' dedication and genuine concern for their students' well-being left a lasting impression on me. They went above and beyond, always ensuring we received the best education possible by offering after-school tutoring and providing opportunities for sports and extracurricular activities. The caring and supportive environment created by the teachers made school a place I looked forward to attending every day. Their passion for teaching inspired me to pursue a career in education myself. I am grateful for the positive impact they had on my life and the foundation they laid for my future endeavors.

Love this school, my grandchildren attend this school and I am so pleased that that they are in a school where it’s obvious the teachers care. Family orientated, fantastic teacher to student ratio. Many opportunities for extra curriculum activities. I highly recommend this school. The new principal is a very nice, compassionate and caring person

I have been attending this school since 2016. My experiences and learning opportunities I've had through this school have been astounding! The teachers are amazing, Godly people who care about you and your learning. GCCC has a very insightful Encounter program that has taught me, and others I'm sure, about God and who he is. Because it's such a small school they have been able to work one-on-one with me and I have benefited greatly from it. Yes, it's had it's ups and downs as all schools and educational establishments do. But with a staff change that's happened I believe my learning capacity has skyrocketed and I can't wait to see what I will accomplish in the future through this school.

What an amazing school. We have been so welcomed by all staff and families. It really is a small community school with a warm heart. Each of my children have never been happy! We love the school and are so happy we stable across the school. The teachers go the extra mile and really care for each child. Being a small school the kids know all the teachers and the teachers all know the students. So a lovely feeling dropping kids off when everyone says hi by name also.
