I am currently completing my placement at Excellent Kids Montessori in EK and I am absolutely enjoying the experience. It is an excellent centre with a positive and nurturing environment. The management and staff are kind, supportive, and professional. Communication with parents is excellent, and strong relationships are clearly valued. I am very thankful for this opportunity.

Excellent Kids Montessori has created a beautiful environment where my daughters are able to excel. The staff connect not only with the children but also with families, fostering therapeutic relationships that positively support my girls’ emotional and developmental needs. As a worried parent, EKM eases those concerns by providing detailed daily updates, including meals, weekly learning topics, photo updates with learning stories, nappy changes and bowel movements, and food and fluid intake, among so much more. They say “it takes a village to raise a child,” and Excellent Kids Montessori has, without a doubt, been my village.

As a parent, I feel it is important to provide a balanced and fair perspective. Our family has had a very positive experience at this centre. The educators, including the leadership team, are caring, patient and professional. The environment is clean, well-organised and calm, which gives us great peace of mind as parents. Most importantly, my child has made significant progress both emotionally and developmentally since attending this centre. I would also like to acknowledge that working in early childhood education requires a high level of responsibility, professionalism and genuine engagement with children. Educators are expected to interact actively with children, participate in outdoor activities, maintain appropriate personal presentation, and always prioritise children’s safety and wellbeing. From a parent’s perspective, this role may not be suitable for everyone—particularly for those who are uncomfortable with outdoor environments, physical interaction, heat, or the practical realities of caring for young children. These are essential aspects of the role, not optional ones. It would be unfair for the dedication and compassion of experienced educators and leadership to be overshadowed by individual placement experiences that may simply reflect a mismatch between personal circumstances and the nature of the profession. I am grateful for the hard work and commitment of the educators here, and I fully support the centre and its team for maintaining professional standards and putting children’s best interests first.

So thankful to all the wonderful, dedicated staff at Excellent Kids Montessori! Their structured approach to learning, rooted in the Montessori method, along with the nurturing environment they've created, has helped our daughter truly thrive. Thank you for your response. I would like to clarify a few points: Firstly, I had already shown my Blue Card before starting the placement—otherwise, how could I have even begun on the first day? Secondly, I did provide my medical report, clearly outlining my condition and the basic accommodations I needed. However, the Director Sofina refused to accept it and explicitly told me that even with the documentation, I could not continue the placement. The Director then claimed I “refused to work,” despite not being present on-site during the majority of the time. I find this deeply dishonest and disappointing. It felt like the director used her position of authority to suppress my voice rather than support a student who genuinely wanted to learn and contribute. All I requested was a minor accommodation: to avoid contact with grass and soil due to medical reasons. I was not asking for special treatment—just understanding. I came to learn, not to survive. This experience has cost me valuable time, effort, and money. Communication didn’t lead to any resolution—it only highlighted a lack of empathy and professionalism. I truly hope no other student has to go through this kind of experience in the future. Parents should also be mindful of how someone with such behaviour and attitude is expected to educate and care for children.

I’ve been in a few daycares before finding this one for my son. This place is truly different, it is not only a day “care” for children. It’s a place where they look at your child’s individual needs. All the kids are well behaved, there’s order and strict daily routine. Teachers are awesome 😘 I would highly recommend this place.

Lovely staff. Thank you Ms Lorna, Ms Teresa, Ms Dorcas, Ms Desire, Ms Onasai, Ms Nora, Ms Mary, Ms Jade, Ms Ram, Ms Jackie and Ms Tina and all other staff who contributed to my son's learning and care. The director of the center Ms Saphina, is a happy woman until you express a concern to her. She absolutely has no idea how to resolve a conflict. When I raised a concern and she couldn't resolve it, she started saying she was busy and had other work to do. She also told me that she didn't want her staff to see me and cry every time. Today, she told me that her staff feels unsafe around me . She needs a training in conflict resolution. She could not arrange a meeting with her staff member and discuss and resolve a matter. She never followed this up with me. Today, when I brought this up, she told me that her staff felt unsafe around me. I went upto her staff and asked if she felt unsafe around me . Her staff completely disagreed with that. When I was talking to the staff member, she came and asked her staff if she was safe. She literally put words in her mouth and used her power to make her staff say what she wanted. Ironically, I left my son under the care of this staff everyday who Ms Saphina said has felt unsafe around me. How could the director make a decision of leaving my son under her care. The carer could have harmed my son because she didn't feel safe around me and did not like me. The director, Ms Saphina is totally unprofessional and dismisses your concerns by saying, she is busy and has other work to do. She doesn't even offer to sit and discuss your concerns some other time. She didn't think twice before accusing me because I had some concerns. Enjoy the awesome service provided by beautiful staff members that love what they do, but stay away from the director. She will drag you into accusations and make you feel like you are the terrible person on earth, but still never be remorseful for the wrongdoing. Unfortunately, I had to tell her today that she is a liar! She might terminate care for my son after reading this post because she knows no other way to resolve issues! For her, it's my way or highway 😀

My son started attending EKM when he was 9 months. The staff is amazing and caring. They always make him feel welcoming, secure, included and safe. I love the way the educators use the Montessori way to teach children. My son loves working on practical life activities and he always wants to help me at home with the house chores.
