My name’s Abraham, from Indonesia. I graduated Year 12 in 2005, when Mr. John Neate was principal. I was an international student, and my homeroom teacher was Mr. Teoh. To be honest, I’m quite shocked reading the reviews about bullying. Back then, I honestly didn’t encounter any (I started in Year 10), though the international Asian students were quite solid as a group. There was one incident with another international student that I won’t specify, but I don’t consider it bullying. At no point did I feel intimidated, and I reported the student to Ms. Cross — he was expelled and deported about two weeks later. I’m not sure if Cabra still has an international student program, but if you or your child is experiencing bullying, it might be worth befriending international students. We tended to look out for our friends — at least we used to.

I was originally considering sending my child to study here, but after seeing so many bullying issues and the school’s lack of response, I think it’s definitely not a good idea to enroll my child.

It's avery huge & old college. Loved the cricket ground & the Tennis courts here. Very centrally located. Ample parking space too.

Caring and pastoral school - excellent teaching and environment for learning. Many opportunities for growth and development with a wide breadth of extracurricular activities.

If you value your child and their education, don't send them to Cabra. I would give 0 stars if I could. Myself and everyone I was friends with were bullied rather badly One of them left in year 9, another in year 11 I remember sitting in the graduation mass, listening to other kids give speeches, specifically laughing about how they would bully my group. Everyone laughed at it The teachers found it hysterical. Especially the part where a kid was left with both shoes tied to different poles for an entire afternoon. Anytime I would go to anyone for help I would have one of two reactions: the staff member would say something along the lines of "We'll look into it" and nothing would be done. The second response was that I would get laughed at, by a teacher who I trust to take me seriously.

It's a good school, The canteen may be overpriced but the school doesn't run the canteen prices, a different company does. I was bullied at this school by both teachers and students and the teachers helped a lot, even the principal helped during these times.

Absolutely disgusting school, I did not get bullied by students but by teachers. if they do not like you they will pick on you, this is the reason I had to move. this is such a Feral school, on sports day i brought my friends to watch, and got YELLED at by four teachers that I needed to leave the campus otherwise the police would come, because bringing friends was not "allowed", I was there because I was watching my little brother, and participating in school activities. This school is horrible and I do not think any child should be allowed to be sent to this school, purely because it is so bad. The teachers think they are above everyone, therefore they can treat anyone however they want. Disgusting.

Niece goes here. The school fees are extremely high, and almost every student that attends has a parent needing financial support from the school to pay the fees. WHY SHOULD WE PAY SO MUCH? When I can pay almost NOTHING at a public school and get the exact same education since every school teaches the Australia Curriculum! As well, the uniform price is also extremely high! Calculated the price earlier, MORE THAN $1,000 dollars to get the full uniforms to last the year for both boys and girls. WHY!? The uniforms don't even make a difference despite the school saying that their students look "formal" and "smart." (BIG DEAL) As well as this, the amount of cyberbullying that happens here is unreal. Your child might get their friend's phone numbers! All of a sudden, they are joined to all these chat groups and get prank calls for more than a year! If you choose to send your child to Cabra, be prepared to have them take almost their whole morning just getting dressed in their school uniform, and paying unnecessary "extra" fees for every type of school event that you never said your child was taking part in! Anyway, CIAO.
