Do not send you child to this school if you care for their well-being. My daught spoke to the apparently "qualified" well-being support staff and inform them that she had intentions of self harm and i was not notified at all about the situation for WEEKS. When I found out second hand I questioned the school and all I got from them was "there may have been an error in the system, Your 14 year old daughter asked us not to tell you. And a bunch of other pathetic excuses to how they failed. My daughter was being bullied and their solution was to move seating around and she was sat right next to one of her bullies and again i wasnt informed about any of this. She was left out of her academy and there was no follow up and she was pulled out of her most important classes to talk about her feelings and put into a "rock and water" class all without my permission or knowledge. And most recently they let someone puck my daughter up midway through school without identifucation and without calling me to see if they were approved to do so. They have no regard for their students or the parents, the overstep constantly and they expect to raise the price every year for "materials and service" If i could rate lower i would. I have never been as dissapointed with an organisation quite as much as I am with this so called school.

I'm a student of REC and staff are always happy to help. Student Services are normally okay but they can be a bit difficult at times. Inclusion leaders are great. Some staff pressure you into conversations your not comfortable having. The school doesn't follow up on incidents or concerns I raise Good school but not a good school for raising concerns. Teachers are rude about kids saying 6-7 Be cautious and do your research.

I went to this school for 11years 2012-2023 (from kindergarten to high school grade 7) 1. The school doesn't care about bullying. I've had multiple times when someone would be racist but the school would be like "oh, just ignore them" or "just move to a different desk" and the bullies would have no consequences whatsoever. 2. Almost everyday there's a fight happening and most the time it'll be 3 or more people bashing 1 person and teachers would literally just watch it and not even try to stop them. 3. Specifically Mr. Smith the student counselor is really creepy. I would be using the toilet then Mr Smith would come into the girls toilet without warning and Try to open the toilet doors & his excuse for it was "he was searching for vapes" I remember a rumour also went around that he also tried lifting up a girls bra. I'm not sure if he was fired yet but I don't trust him & I never did. 4. Reynella east college has also been on the news multiple times because students have killed themselves because of the bullying. Shout out to the teachers & staff that DIDN'T make this school a living hell — Jak B, Mr. Roach, Tom Leverenz, Mr. Baldwin, Mr. Rusk, Mrs. Ramsay & Mrs. Minazzo (sorry if I forgot to spell your name 😹) A BIG THANK YOU TO THE CANTEEN LADIES ✌

I would NOT recommend this school especially if you're child is a person of colour. I went to this school for 13 years and I got bullied relentlessly for 11years. I told the teachers & office multiple times but every time we had a meeting I'd have to be the one to apologize or nobody apologizes at all. The specific bullies I had in year 6 til year 8 all physically and verbally abused me inside and outside of school. I got followed around a lot, I got sent death threats and the bullies from this school also made fun of my dead family members, til this day the school & bullies haven't taken any responsibility or actions. I am saying this because I don't want to see anymore coloured kids get traumatized or feel ashamed of themselves just because this school doesn't deal with bullying.

Ms Coxs just walks into the bathrooms without notice, I was taking a crap in the toilet and obviously wanted some privacy. She told me she would unlock the door and continued to knock until I opened it. This is an invasion of privacy and should be looked at. Shame Ms Cox

Went to Reynella for year 8 and left middle of year 9 2020 - 2021 due to bullying, being bashed and getting no help about it at all. Left everyday at lunch and school didn’t even notify my mum. Teachers never did anything about the bullying either or the fights except watch on. 3 of my mates till this day and me all have videos of our fights and us being bashed by groups that went around the school. I went back to REC to visit one of my teachers in 2023 and he told me that I shouldn’t come back again cause he was still hearing people talk about me. Till this day and I would have graduated last year 2024. I still hear rumours or maybe it’s the truth about the school. All I know is that REC is possibly one of the worst or the worst school in Adelaide. - Doesn’t deal with bullying properly - Has a reputation with the news - Has had multiple students commit suicide because of the bullying from the school - Didn’t help kids with special needs or needed more help and just treated them normally - Has students drug dealing in and out of school 0/10 kids should honestly teach the teachers at this school cause I never learnt anything. This is just my experience but I’ve seen some Reviews of people from REC I know and even people I don’t that also seem to agree with me on this.

love the teachers and my friends here in year 8 although the bullying isn't really good it has made my confidence and mental health go down really low during my time at this school. The bullying is too Intense for me. but shout out too mr Kajewski

The school is pretty good overall, but there are some things I don't like. I don't know about the primary school, but in the high school there are lots of nice facilities and mostly nice teachers. Despite this, there is lots of rubbish left by the students and some bullying, although I understand that's hard for the school to control sometimes. The academy system is also good, although sometimes it's hard to fit the other lessons you want around these subjects. It is still a nice school and I would recommend it.

Worst school to ever send a child to, this school doesn't address bullying claims would rather sweep allegations of inside/outside school behaviour under the carpet even with police evidence to show for it. Wouldn't send a rat to this school as that would be insulting the rat. This school doesn't show a duty of care at all it just wants to protect its image and those who bully. Give this school a miss.
