A fantastic Christian school with warm and patient teachers. The IB program gives children broader knowledge and helps spark their imagination. Over the years, we’ve seen the school grow — and we’ve seen our children grow with it. Both of my kids have made great academic progress, but what stands out most is their character. They’ve become more caring, kind, and respectful. The change has been especially noticeable in my daughter, who started here in CC,and in my son, who transferred from a public school in Year 5. The difference has been amazing.

This is the best school I’ve ever been(and I used to change schools very 5months). Very one is really kind, the teachers are amazing(especially Miss.Eather and Mr.Rich), and I am from Brazil this school is so amazing that I learned English in 6 months. So I hope you saw this cause you’re gonna know I am right.

After spending 5 years here its safe to say SCC was genuinely traumatising. Many teachers shouldn’t be teaching because of their lack of skills, diabolical mental issues that should be sorted out before stepping into a classroom, wildly inappropriate and in some cases literally ILLEGAL behaviour. The school is falling apart, there were some great things about it in the past but as the leadership was replaced it all deteriorated. They continue to keep teachers despite MANY complaints. The facilities and resources were rubbish, there was a severe lack of support or accomodation for different learning needs. I could go on forever about the issues with this school. Shoutout to the couple of teachers who have stuck around for years and are absolute legends. Without them the school wouldn’t be standing and they deserve better for the amount they are paid and bs they deal with.

My time as a student at this somewhat school (if you’d even call it a school) was awful. This is a terrible prejudice school who train up bullies who mock gifted children with rare intj personality types. Rather than show respect and encourage students who are good enough to be something of significance like a lawyer. If you have your children enrolled, then I strongly recommend you reconsider your choice. Since this school is useless at preventing bullying. Ironically speaking it’s always the bright ones with actual talent and potential that get excluded and treated like they are nothings at this ridiculously biased school. For example, students don’t work with them so that they (the bullies) can get the good grades, and they get socially ostracized from jealous trolls. Also, Good luck getting success, the Christian character award or work experience from this useless school. Unless you line up with their biased standards. 0/10 do not recommend.

The school you choose for your child is one of the most important choices you make. As a staff member you do get to see the "warts and all" and can make a fully informed choice. It was through a fully-informed choice that we chose Southern Christian College for our girls where they had great learning experiences, developed healthy friendships and were encouraged in their faith.

Southern Christian College has been different for all three of my children that have attended here. But I love the way it is centred around strong values, and it takes the time to see each child where they are at. At the moment I have one child carrying out a school based apprenticeship in building, and another with the opportunity to be advanced in his Maths up a grade level. SCC does want each child to reach their potential whatever that may be, wherever that may be. I am glad our children have had great mentors that have cared for them and have seen them, their interests, their skills and talents. Highly recommend.

All of my children attended here some from the start of high school and one from grade 1. We have been involved for 10 years. Teachers have been helpful towards my family, encouraging to my children- we moved from a state school to this christian school and never looked back. Any concerns we have had have been addressed promptly and effectively. The leadership are kind, compassionate, fair and accessible to parents. Discussions are encouraged to help the students thrive. I have seen staff do extraordinary things to help the friends of my children through their personal struggles. My children were able to excel here and we are very thankful for Southerns influence in their lives.

after coming here i don't even have the strength to write a whole review about this school, highly hypocryticle, very biased, don't like you if your not christian, make you feel bad for not being religious, teachers do everything to benefit themselves, P.E teacher is highly unproffesional, only kids of teachers get rewards and kids in charge are those of teachers. don't send your kids here, i'm only here to finish my last year. quite a few teachers are actually very good and fun but the leadership team is shocking and they should be ashamed.

Only chose one cause zero is not an option. Please don’t send your child/children to this school. They sweep physical and psychological bullying under the rug. They don’t practice what they preach. Bunch of hypocrites. Wasn’t until I got a higher authority involved that they took my complaints about bullying seriously. Not even the governing body of the school could be bothered to reply to my emails. And after that happened my child and I were ostracised. Office staff are rude and always look unhappy. The school prides themselves on looking after their own. If you don’t belong in their circle you are on the outer. My child has ongoing trauma from the bullying at this school. And I know all schools have bullies but they let bullies physically harm my child but didn’t take it seriously because the so called family of this bully was a financial benefactor of the school. So money comes before children’s safety. No duty of care for the children at this school. Don’t expect your children to get awards. These always always get given to children of office staff, teachers etc. So if you don’t want your child to be mentally and physically scarred for life please I beg of you as a parent who has a child with anxiety related trauma from incidents at this school do not send your child/children to this school.

I have had my two Primary aged school children enrolled to start at this school for over a year while we waited for Boarders to open up during Covid. They began at SCC at the start of this academic year and I can do nothing but sing their praises. My children were allocated buddies for the first few days of school to help them get aquainted, and they both make some lovely little friends in their class. My children are so settled there and after two short terms, it feels like home. The education is fantastic and we love the IB approach to learning and the units of inquiry. We also love that our children are taught about the school's core values which alight with our beliefs as Christians. They attend fortnightly Prayer Groups and are encouraged to discuss worldly matters, making them responsible and empathetic learners. I cannot recommend this school enough!
