WELS Footscray has given my son memories he will treasure forever. The teachers and staff were incredibly kind, supportive, and caring throughout his time there. He loved every moment—whether it was learning in class or joining in the fun activities outside of academics. Seeing how happy and confident he became while studying here has been truly heartwarming. I’m forever grateful to WELS Footscray for making his learning journey such a positive and meaningful one.

My son had difficulties in understanding and speaking English, within 2 months of joining WELS we have seen change in his speaking skills. Staff here are very supportive and take care of every kid nicely. If you are new to Australia and your kid has any issues in understanding or speaking English I would recommend to join them here. Staff here have got great ideas on how to improve kids behaviour and speaking skills.

I’m so happy that my two children will be starting primary school this coming term. When they arrived here in February 2025, they were struggling with the English language. So, we decided to enrol them at Western English Language School in Footscray. I was truly surprised and impressed by how much their English has improved. I’m very thankful to all the teachers and staff at Western English Language School Footscray — especially Miss Lorraine — for their dedication and support.

My son Will has attended Western English Language school from October 2024 to June 2025, to improve his English and writing skills. The teachers and support staff have been so helpful to myself and Will. I must mention two people in particular, campus coordinator Lorraine Batres, and Will’s teacher Ms Nimmi Alexiou, two outstanding people, who show that they actually genially care for parents and students. The school culture is amazing, such a supportive, inclusive environment for Will to go to school and learn from. We will look back with great fondness at the time Will attended the Western English Language School. From Will and myself, thank you all who taught and supported Will in his time at this lovely school.
