I’m very disappointed with how chaotic the management has become. Teachers often overrun class time — a clear sign of poor time management and lack of teaching skill — and frequently change class times or locations without proper notice. The timetable has no clear logic or consistency, causing constant confusion and inconvenience for students. The so-called “review system” is completely ineffective — complaints about poor teaching are ignored, and some chefs seem to protect each other rather than take responsibility. Few chefs hold far too much power and treat students with disrespect, often barking orders rather than teaching. For a school that promotes itself as “world-class,” this level of internal management is simply unacceptable.

Undertook the pastry and bread short course over four days. It is jampacked with hands on recipes and you take home so many breads and pastries that you basically need a new freezer. Everything is absolutely delicious. Chef Simon is meticulous in his instruction and keeps the tempo. It could benefit by being spread over another day as there is so much to do but overall a great experience and a new appreciation of what goes into pastry and breads.

Owner's response

Thanks, Julie! We’re delighted you enjoyed our Traditional Breads and Pasties short course and learned so much with Chef Simon. We appreciate your feedback and love hearing that you left with both new skills and a full freezer!

It is always a privilege to attend the High Tea sessions. The students present high quality, delicious treats for next to nothing. Enjoy with a glass of bubbles, soft drinks or tea & coffee and your afternoon is complete. The students are keen to impress so any form of compliment is gratefully accepted.

Owner's response

Thanks a lot Rhonda for the 5-star review. We are glad you had a great experience with Le Cordon Bleu Melbourne! Hope to see you again soon.

The studends were amazing. They were extremely polite and worked well with a full house. The food was just brilliant. Cooked to perfection and beautifully presented. This evening was fantastic The best value for money dining experience in Melbourne. A sincere thank you to a group of young adults (and their teachers) who did their profesiion proud.
