The classes are led by an incredibly experienced and passionate sensei who holds a 7th dan rank, was a member of the Korean national team, and is also the founder of Tora Kendo Dojo London. Her dedication to the art of kendo is evident in every aspect of her teaching, from technical instruction to the values of respect, discipline, and perseverance. What makes this dojo truly special is the welcoming and supportive community. Practitioners come from a wide range of experience levels and ages, creating a dynamic learning environment where everyone helps each other improve. Whether you are stepping into the dojo for the first time or have years of experience, you will find guidance, challenge, and camaraderie here. Tora Kendo Dojo Melbourne is more than just a place to train, it is a place to grow as a kendoka and as a person. Highly recommended for anyone serious about learning traditional kendo in an inspiring and respectful setting.

My husband and I started Kendo training 6 weeks ago. Cho Sensai and senpai are all very encouraging and supportive of all levels and ages. We have found the group to be very friendly and there is a sense of family. We have already learnt so much over the 6 weeks and are encouraged to progress at our own pace.

Cho sensei has a wealth of experience and goes the extra mile to guide her students with excellent EQ. A true national champion and an excellent club.

I am learning so much from Cho-Sensei at Tora Dojo - not just the physical aspects of Kendo but also what I would consider "spiritual" and "ethical". The group is like one big family supporting each other in our individual developments. Great place to train and learn!

I think this is a great place to start your Kendo Journey. The community is friendly and welcoming. They push you to achieve your best. I'm 10 years old and I've been training at Tora Dojo for 2 years. N Bate I love Tora Dojo. I think it's the best place to teach little kids how to be strong and focus. I learnt very quickly to do the Fumikomi Men from Cho sensei. Tora dojo brings me joy. M Bate 8 years old I started Tora Dojo Kendo to have a connection with my kids but it turned out to be so beneficial for my own well-being. Cho sensei cares so deeply for her students both inside and outside of Tora dojo. I recommend Kendo with Tora Dojo for any individual or family. Ai

Incredibly welcoming and amazing place to train Kendo. I'm enjoying myself tremendously under the supervision of the senseis and seniors present in the class. It's also nice to learn humbleness and self-control.
